A Good Thing?

Reason number 92 why I love Petworth

I had a chat yesterday with a woman who lives around the corner and a few blocks down from me. We had never met before yet we talked for about 1/2 an hour about how squirrels are digging up our flowers. She was about 60 and had a delightful carribean accent. We concluded that cayene pepper should probably do the trick.

Pop–You’re a gardener? Maybe you should include more PW gardening tips in the blog. My wife, whom I recently got reading PoP, has bonded with a couple of our neighbors over gardening. Gardening is really popular in the PW. If you have any tips, pass em on!

I am a very, very amateur gardner. My mother and girlfriend and some other friends are actually the real driving force behind any gardening at my house. I definitely appreciate it but I’m certainly not the visionary.

But I think Carol Herwig runs a regular gardening piece in the Grant Circular. If I do discover any tips I’ll be sure to post them!
