Manny & Olga’s Coming to Petworth

Thanks to a reader for alerting me to the news that Manny & Olga’s will be opening up a Petworth shop. Not sure where and not sure when but apparently an email was sent out by Manny & Olga’s owners alerting some to the new location. I for one am very happy to hear it. And yes they will deliver!

I used to order pizzas for delivery from the one on 14th street–they’re good!

Cool. Have not tried. Most comments I’ve seen though that their pizza is not all that.. expect perhaps if you like American style pies.

I think I just pre-emptively gained 10 pounds!!! This is the best Petworth news of the week and it’s only Monday.

For those who haven’t experienced Manny & Olga’s, there is a vocal group that HATES it — but I am here to say that when it comes to American style delivery pizza Manny & Olga’s decimates the competition. Cold weather + sports on TV + don’t feel like cooking = XL Pepperoni pizza from Manny & Olga’s.

I am a HUGE fan of Manny & Olga’s. Since we moved to Petworth we drive to the 14th Street location to get their pies and every time I go in there I ask about how far their delivery is (turns out it’s only one or two blocks from Petworth) so I’m psyched to see that a new location is in the works.

    Moroni & Brothers 4-eva! :-)

(I’ve never had Manny and Olga’s, so, no disrespect intended)

Put me in the “big whoop” camp. I find their pizza practically inedible. The crust is greasy, mushy, the toppings are from a can or a freezer, and the whole package is bland as well as kind of gross. I am absolutely not a pizza snob – I like “american” pizza. I just find M&O’s to be about three steps down from Domino’s.
