I may have missed the original post, but why did Mocha Hut close to begin with?? I noticed it shuttered a few weeks ago and was really sad to see that!
I went to the U Street one and that was pretty decent.
I love how what’s across the street is reflected in the windows, and the framing gives the impression of gates leading to a whole new world.

I spoke with the owner on Halloween – they were hosting trick-or-treaters along with the new dry cleaners. They are awaiting a couple of pieces of equipment and they are supposed to open very soon.
Finally! It’s been closed for about two years now, supposedly for renovations. So they reopen just when I bought a coffeemaker …

Good news. That business strip has seemed very dreary without the Mocha Hut.
@bogfrog: On 14th Street north of Arkansas Avenue a little ways. across from the bus barn. Or 14th Street Heights as PoP says.
We’ve been told this before…about every three months. But, here’s hoping.
