According to a commenter this Mocha Hut in 14th St. Heights will be reopening in two weeks.

    I may have missed the original post, but why did Mocha Hut close to begin with?? I noticed it shuttered a few weeks ago and was really sad to see that!

    I went to the U Street one and that was pretty decent.

    I love how what’s across the street is reflected in the windows, and the framing gives the impression of gates leading to a whole new world.

    I spoke with the owner on Halloween – they were hosting trick-or-treaters along with the new dry cleaners. They are awaiting a couple of pieces of equipment and they are supposed to open very soon.

    i’m excited! i live around the corner from mocha hut, and i can’t wait to be able to walk to a coffeehouse in my jammies.
