I know I am way late in posting about this but since we’ve been talking about “dive” bars, I’d say Solly’s is a very strong candidate. It’s actually located right next door to the new wine bar, Vinoteca, opening up next week. Solly’s has great bartenders, a really nice owner, a sweet outdoor drinking area, and a nice upstairs area. Definitely worth checking out.

They have live music there and will host local bands, too.
What are the drink prices like?
I agree with PoP on this one, Solly’s is a great dive bar. I’ve never enjoyed a cocktail there because I am usually sucking down the cheap PBR’s. They usually have a few different beers on special.
The patio out front is great for Summer/Spring people watching and the upstairs is great for either 1.) a party (first time I went here was for a birthday party) or 2.) Watching a game with your buddies without having to jockey for position at the downstairs bar.
$3 PBR cans…they don’t serve food, but will let you get take-out/delivery.
