Ever since Mr. Days went out of business in downtown DC I’ve been looking for a good sports bar. I have finally found one in Momo’s Cafe Nema at 1334 U St. NW. Momos opened about two months ago. While it certainly a bit more upscale than Mr. Days was it has a nice layout and obviously the location is great. It has tons of flat screens tvs throughout so you can’t have a bad seat. And for soccer fans on Sat. and Sun. mornings they will be showing plenty of games including the upcoming Africa’s Cup. Additionally the grub looks good and is reasonably priced. Burgers go for $6.99, Nachos $6.99, BBQ Wings 10/$6.99 20/$11.99 and lots more choices. On Friday and Sat. nights there will usually be a DJ spinning. For me, I think this place will be perfect to catch a game on Sat. afternoons and of course I’m always happy to discover a good sports bar that appreciates soccer. Anyone check it out yet? More pictures after the jump.

Hey WE live here and aren't guaranteed proximity. No way I care if a contractor has to...
I used to run on this trail around dusk when I got out of work. I used to pick-up bricks...
Oooook Ted Mosby. What about buildings that aren't in the top 100 buildings ever built?...
Best fish tacos in town. Yuca and horchada aren't too bad either.
I AM looking for a job
Looks like a good place to watch the Pats (sorry PoP… I know you hate all things New England).
Ugh…a Giants bar? No way. GO SKINS!!!!
That’s right, Oden. I said go Skins.
Wait a second, a Giants flag outside and a Redskins banner inside. I’m so confused.
I think the owner is actually from Cleveland and is a Browns fan.
even more confusing…giants and packers flag outside, redskins banner inside and then the owner is a browns fan…makes no sense at all
i will never go there if they have giants and packers flags outside. end of story. go redskins!
where are all your hangover pix, PoP? c’mon! it’s almost 3:00 p.m.!!!
Ugh. Sorry you’ll have to wait until this evening…cut me some slack please, I’m hurting…
Don’t forget to give Nellie’s Sports Bar a try!! Just 2 blocks from the east exit of Metrorail’s U Street station on the corner of 9th & U Streets.
