this is the on Kenyon St in Mt Pleasant where I used to live – I met the guy who owns (owned?) the house one day – I think he got the elephants in Turkey. And the people who owned my rental house lived in Niger – quite the post-Peace Corps/Foreign Service crowd living there. Except now that RPCVs can’t afford it anymore…
Love ‘em. Makes me think of Babar. I especially like how the trunks are at different positions.
What doesn’t get past your keen eye POP?
I lived in this house for a few years – outside of being a great space, it was easy to give directions (look for the house with elephants on the roof). The owners of the house lived in Nepal for some time and brought the elephants back with them. [they were definitely not republican elephants!]
