Nice Enclosed Front Porch

IMG_6951, originally uploaded by Prince of Petworth.

I know in the past people have been pretty opposed to enclosed front porches. You know, it kind of hampers the whole neighborly thing. But if you had do it, this is a pretty classy one. And the mosquitoes can get pretty fierce… After the jump check out the nice house numbers.

Looks nice. The difference here (if I am not mistaken) is that the porch is on the ground (and eleveted), so giving it a more substantial structure does not stick out like a sore thumb.

What is the function of such a porch though. This one apears to be a secure and dry spot for bikes and yard stuff. Not sure they are big enough to be usable social space. Just wondering.
