More than 4 million young people, ages 5-25, participated. Youth Service America organizes the event in the U.S. and around the world. SERVE-DC in the Mayor's office organizes local activities in Washington, DC. Youth are not "future" leaders or the "hope of tomorrow"; they are very much the hope of today. We cannot afford for them to grow up before they start changing the world. Thanks for sharing this photograph! There were a lot of high school kids from College Bound participating.
