Aren’t you supposed to keep wood piles away from your house for fear of attracting termites? Or is that just a myth?

It’s better to keep the wood away from the house, but if they plan on keeping the firewood there, they should cover it with a waterproof cover to keep it dry and deter termites; damper wood will definitely attract termits.
termites, mice, and other pests. plus, wet wood on a wooden porch can’t be a good idea. must be a rental.
Usually, you should keep them covered, elevated a few inches above the ground, and a few feet from your house. Bugs love dark, cool, moist places.
not just termites, but it will also attract rats!
