Coolest Pet in PoPville Entries #12, #13, and #14
07 August 2008 2:00 PM | By Prince Of Petworth in contest “This is Monty. He calls Columbia Heights home after being found in Dallas, Texas.
That’s his favorite toy yak in the background.”
Entries #13 and #14 after the jump.
“This is my dog, Toki Wartooth. Toki is a female, beagle/terrier mix? We live in Shaw and she likes to mingle at Logan Circle and the dog park in Adams Morgan. In this photo she is just three months old and it was taken in our backyard. Ahhn, *head tilt*. Ummm… nothing much more to say than she’s awesome and everyone should adopt a pound or rescue group puppy.”
“Not biased, yeah right, but not sure if there’s any cooler pure-bred Basset Hounds in the city. His name is Mookie (Wilson), named after my childhood favorite Mets player. He’s 2yrs old, loved by many, feared by none. He frequents Adams Mill for the people watching, and Wonderland cause it’s a block from home.”

Mookie is cute now, but just wait. We were sucked into the cuteness that is bassett hound pups but let me tell you, the adults are smelly, drooly, and their eyes really are droopy and red. Don’t get me wrong, we love Elliott, but he isn’t lovingly named “The Cheese Man” for nothing.
Mookie is really cute!

FYI – Mookie is two now, not so much a puppy anymore. He is still cute.

My vote goes to Monty. Cats are underappreciated.
