A number of readers have referenced this mural on Georgia Ave. (I believe it is on the 3900 block of Georgia.) I thought I had posted it before but in any event, here it is in all it’s kick ass glory. I could stare at it for hours. It’s also interesting to note how it’s not actually painted on the brick.

It’s also interesting, it’s not, both take apostrophes, as they are the contracted form of it is. But its, as in all its glory, is the possessive form (my, your, his, her, its, our their) of a thing and NOT a contraction. Therefore, no apostrophe. This little grammar lesson brought to you by DCPS and one of its teachers, who also enjoys murals.
