Just saw the Panda Express is going into one of the shops in the DC USA complex on the Irving Street side.
If Panda Express is not your style here were your recommendations for best Chinese restaurants in the city.

This area needs a decent Chinese option. The indies around SUCK.

I hear their orange chicken is good, but otherwise I am not sure how good this will be. Have never tried it.
Btw, I am sure you’ve all seen the (apparently fairly reliable) rumor of a thai place coming to the Allegro building.

OB- That and a Hot-Dog-On-A-Stick
If we all close our eyes and wish real hard, maybe, just maybe we can have a food court just like the majestic Pentagon City.
Yuck!

I’m looking forward to Panda Express opening. It would be nice to get an Arby’s(roast beef )and a KFC/Taco Bell.

We are all such food snobs here that I assume the comment about wanting an Arby’s and a KFC/Taco Bell was someone being saracastic. And yes, Panda Express is mall food court Chinese food. But do they deliver?
12 September 2008 12:10 PM | INMHIIYNTYAH Said:
There is no decent Chinese food within a 5-6 block radius of this establishment. At least this place will be clean (hopefully). That’s more than I can say about the Chinese place down the block. I love indies but trying to find a decent Chinese place in this neighborhood is near impossible.

The chinese food in CH is so heinous that we effectively don’t have any. Luckily Mr. Chen’s and Banana Leaves deliver to us (me anyway). So, chain or not, this is a welcome addition to the hood. All the booing is just snobbery.

Never went in there and probably never will, but what about that place near the 7-11 on 14th?

This all sounds a lot like the hipster ideal that if too many people like something, it can’t possible be good.
