Last week we spoke about the best spots to pick up a Christmas tree. I saw these folks walking down 9 Street and asked them where they got their tree? Turns out there is a big lot at the corner of 9th and N. Prices range from $45-$105. Hours are
Monday –Friday….3-8pm
Saturday………….10 am-7pm
Sunday……………10 am–5pm
and they’ll be selling until all the trees are gone or Dec. 24th. They even have a Web site.
While chatting with the proprietor he mentioned that in the Springtime this location will be used as an open garden center for farmers and artists if all goes according to plan. Sweet!

Please buy Christmas trees from DCPS schools who sell them as fundraisers.
The worst part of x-mas in the city is you can’t torch the tree out back afterwards. Anyone ever see a x-mas tree on fire? Man, like a bomb… Good times with a case of PBR! Or Wild Turkey…

FYI – Although it doesn’t support anything, you can get a decent tree from Home Depot for between $26 and $50. Just depends on the size. Its a good place to get a tree if you’re on a budget.
