They have a ton of old pictures, among other great resources. However, you need to come armed with an address or specific area of research -- you can't just flip through the collection. The American History museum have a good sized photo collection. I think the process is you make an appointment and goto the Library and search, then they send the request in for digital or printed copies. i did this from 98-04 so im not sure how much have changed since then. The guy who use to be in charge of the office (Office of Imagin and Photographic Services) is John Jones. I told POP I was going to send him some of the ones I have from 1865 to the mid to late 1950's. I just need to scan them when i have free time. It has been sitting vacant for years and is such an eye sore. There were signs all over it about some sort of property auction about a year ago, but haven't seen any signs of development.
