Hitching DC Statehood to the coattails of Obama's rallying cry may be tiresome but it may also be an effective method energize the population. I'd rather manipulate the pre-existing passions of a historic presidency for the good of the district than take my chances with a snappy new phrase that will look good on dilapidated signs sloppily hung around the hood long after the vote/referendum/coin toss is defeated in congress due to lack of public support.
