Capturing City Signs Before They Vanish Forever
07 January 2009 4:00 PM | By Prince Of Petworth in Neighborhoods - Logan Circle, signs

This sign is located on 14th Street just south of P Street. I thought this spot was going to be reopened. I can’t remember what the new bar will be. Can anyone refresh my memory here?
Incidentally there is also some art located up top that you may not have noticed before.

Oh, forgot to say why i mentioned that i think this guy lives down the street from me, is that he has a new sculpture in his driveway. It brightens (ha! pun!) my day to walk by his place on the way home from work.

I heard it was going to be a restaurant specializing in gluten free options: http://amandamc.blogspot.com/2008/08/coming-soon-birch-barley-and-churchkey.html

I thought this was going to be Churchkey, the new beer bar (bars) from the owners of Rustico.

This isn’t a very old restaurant. it was Hamburger Mary’s then it became Dakota Cowgirl. I liked the food there. it was a place I frequented on my way home from work. It’s a shame it didn’t make it.

I LOVED Hamburger Mary’s but my gay coworkers refused to go with us, LITERALLY, because we were all straight people frequenting a gay restaurant.
But, it was a creative place to get a veggie burger for lunch! Who cared if half the people at our table were closet homophobes, people were respectively getting same sex hamburgers!

I loved Dakota Cowgirl…it was so strange how it just closed out of the blue for no good reason.

Well I’m gay neener and you’re welcome in any gay restaurant any time as far as I’m concerned.
