This condo is located at 1700 15th Street, NW:
The flier says:
“Victorian “mansion”flat in 7 unit bldg. LOW CONDO FEE!East facing corner flat with treetop views fr 7 huge windows. LIGHT FILLED/open layout/great flow/ good room porportions. LR w/ fplc/sep dining area and adjacent home office/ dual entry BA. Dramatic inviting space. IN the Heart of it all nestled’tween Dupont & Logan. WALK TO EVERY amenity. PRIMO LOCATION. PETS ok.”
More info and a virtual tour found here.
That living room is sweet! What do you think of the rest of the condo? I did a bit of tease with the “under $400k edition” because it’s only a one bedroom/one bathroom. But it’s yours for $359,900. I’m thinking that’s a bit high. What do you guys think? (Next week I’m going to widen the search to include some more neighborhoods, suggestions are always appreciated!)

Oooook Ted Mosby. What about buildings that aren't in the top 100 buildings ever built?...
Best fish tacos in town. Yuca and horchada aren't too bad either.
Apparently it was a good enough deal because it’s no longer listed (under contract??)
If it’s unit 202, it’s here: http://homes.longandfoster.com/Real-Estate/PropertyDetails.aspx?MlsCompanyID=2&MlsNumber=DC6902058&profileTypeID=1&Add=1700-15TH-ST-NW-&FromParnter=true
Yeah … apparently a good deal if it’s already off the market. Unless the realtor just has the posting down for maintenance.
In any case, I’m fairly certain this place previously was rented by a good friend, and the apartment needed a lot of work, particularly in the obsolete and cramped kitchen. It’s a great location, but $359k would be cutting it a little too close for me.
strange bedroom — the hall is so narrow it’s not even wide enough for a runner rug.
“Hansom” building, though!
This says that it’s under contract and includes a link to the virtual tour: http://franklymls.com/DC6902058
$2400/mo or so with all expenses for a 1br apartment? If someone is indeed in the process of purchasing this place, they are not getting a good deal.

I just want to mention how I love that the Kaplan ad just has 1990 M St. listed as their address. No quadrant. Do they have locations at all three 1990 M Streets? Oh who am I kidding, we all know it’s NW and would never be NE or SE.
That kitchen is pretty out of date for that price. I also appreciate the creativity of the listing agent calling a hallway not just a dining room but also a workspace. And what’s with the ladder in the bedroom?
I think it’s a nice space but it’s not nice enough for that price.
