They totally ruined the look of that house. That house was pretty cool looking not it just looks stupid. Hope the extra living space was worth it.

In theory I have no problems with pop-ups but I swear there is not thought. Sometimes you just have the ability to blend them and if done right they look good. Sometimes you don't at which point you have think of a way to balance the old and the news. This shit is just lazy. It like they chose one of those McMansion builder where the architect just create space with no personality, to "design" this.

Okay, I'm an ass. I love these pop-up additions (as long as they contain no vinyl siding).

They did the right thing in NOT trying to match the brick, but the color isn't quite different enough for my taste. We all know it's an addition, so don't be matchy-matchy, that's my 2 cents.

I also like that they matched the rectangular windows to the 1st floor's.

You've got to be kidding me. You even have to ask?! "Travesty", "shameful", "hideous", "stupid", "inconsiderate" are just a few words that come to mind.

For some reason this one doesn't bother me too much. It already has modern windows elsewhere so that part isn't especially offensive, and with the big apartment building to the right that's nearly as tall and a different style than the other house anyway, I don't think it's all that bad.

If they coulda matched the brick it would have been better but I'd put it in about the top third as these things go.

yeah it looks a little cardboard boxish. but sure beats vinyl siding. whats wierd is its a pretty big house to begin with and from the pic it doesnt appear to be split into condos... wonder what they need with all that space. they must have a home theater and billiards room. I also like how the house is taller than the apartment building its next too.
