I prefer the latter only because I've been going here since I was a kid and the Super G Man is enough sandwich to smother a nun. Why people go to the Subway around the corner is beyond me. (By which I mean it's "fine." Not great and my Italian relatives wouldn't think much of it, but for DC, it's off the scale awesome.) Now, if I could just fine a decent Hungarian grocery to please the rest of (and the majority) of my family, we'd be all set. Sure that little Russian place off of Slater's Lane in Alexandria is okay for Vegeta and decent sour cherries, but it doesn't satisfy my Magyar needs. Yeah, that’s probably Litteri’s. These are hands down the BEST sandwiches in the District. I'm a sucker for the classic meatball, but their cold cut sandwiches are fantastic as well. Oh, and there is a girl who works there is an adorable girl who works behind the counter there....always makes me smile :) Great post Nichole….luckily working on the Hill allows me to make it to this gem every so often.
