High handlebars (ape hangers) are a Harley thing, they are purely aesthetic. I am sure some weirdos find them more comfortable, but then again some people find sport bikes comfy.

What is the purpose of the extremely high handlebars? Is it more comfortable to cruise that way, or is it a “my handlebars are bigger than your handlebars” thing?

How are these tough guys? I’m not sure what to make of that. btw, these bikes have been popular in the Southwest for years. I especially like the tricycle models with stereos attached.
