I know the only reason you came here was for your pet gentrificatoin projects and to make your wealthier residents feel safer.

Judging by the posts above I think you and Mr. Graham have failed.

Besides your obvious posturing that you do at the scene of every incident you supposedly care about (check out the metro accident), I was particuarly annoyed by this one since you definetly don’t give a damn about Ryan.

For individuals who did not know Ryan(the victim of this shooting, a hardworking college graduate and working man) I applaud your barbaric and mentally below average comments as they give a clear picture of America’s true weakness: Humanity.

This should be a nice spoiler for those of you who think “endangered thugs” are the only ones who get hit.

But i guess its easy to be a coward behind a keyboard huh?

To those who just oved here for gentrification and post here out of fear: Good luck to you. Watch out for bullets because they do not carry identification numbers(really). If the bullets don’t stop you, maybe the crashing housing market will?(look at Harlem) Or maybe it won’t but either way you’ll be getting ripped of paying for a condo ten times what it’s really worth. (but i digress)

My last word would probably be to the morons who think this is a movie. If you need to be entertained by real human being’s pain, your life proabably sucks so move back to Wisconsin or what ever suburban hell you came from and pop in a movie. Rest in Peace Ryan and Peace to the other innocent young woman who got injured.

i know ryan since i was a little boy he was a good person he is not know thug criminal or etc he was a true friend who did anything for his family and friends he will be truly missed he was an inspiration to everybody around the petworth area he didnt bother know body he was a college graduate at the university of district of columbia and i also knew both individuals and for the woman she helped many people in that area get jobs as well as get job and lastly may ryan rest in peace and please know more slandering of his name

Ryan was definately not a crackhead or thug for all of those misguided bloggers who previously made an ignorant comment. He was very hard working young man who happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. He is truly a prime example of an innocent bystander. He was loved by many and we will miss him dearly, May God Rest His Soul. Seeing that car makes it even harder to accept.

Rest in Peace Ryan…..You will never be forgotten

“The following just came across the 3DSubstation listserve from Inspector Jacob Kishter:

The Metropolitan Police Department announces the closure of the homicide that occurred in the Third Police District in the 600 block of Quebec Street,
Northwest, of Ryan Randy Trotman.

On Monday, June 22, 2009, at 2156 hours units from the Third District were dispatched to the 600 block of Quebec Pl., NW, for the report of a shooting. Moments later, they received a second run for a traffic accident involving an overturned vehicle (two blocks away at the intersection of Park Pl & Otis Pl NW). Upon the arrival of the officers, they located an adult female in the 600 block of Quebec Pl NW, suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. They located a male victim at the scene of the traffic accident in the 3600 block of Park Pl., NW. The male was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds which, it was learned, he received while he was in the 600 block of Quebec Pl., NW. The DCFD responded to the scene and transported the victims to area hospitals. The male was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead at 2350 hours.”

If the case is closed now, i do not think that the feds will be getting involved. My council member sent an email before saying that police was looking for possible connectionb between the shootings in Quebec and the shooting on teh 500 block of Shepherd–which apparently has not reported any victims other than the cars (and the owners of the cars i suposse).

The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone that provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons wanted for any homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
