I notice this a lot in my backyard as well, I see something new growing every Spring and I can’t remember if it was planted or is just a weed.

I’m pretty sure the one photographed above is a weed but it’s pretty wild how it’s growing out of the window sill.

I’m pretty sure it’s a Pawlonia, which is a weed tree that has nasty purple stinky flowers. Pull them out.

This does look like the invasive princess tree, Paulownia tomentosa. For anyone that’s interested, there’s some info here: http://www.nps.gov/plants/alien/fact/pato1.htm
Also POP, I thought I’d mention that a weed is a plant where you don’t want it, and a tree can just as easily be ‘weedy’
