I’ve always been a fan of the Laurel US1 sign. Had some family that worked in there. Was devastated when they remodeled/modernized it. But if they ever replace that sign, I may have to kill everyone in a storm of anguish and rage.

That old Giant sign really brings back memories…
ha… failed to mention that i was referring to the Giant sign. Store no.40 in the chain, so it’s an oldie.
But for an absolutely killer bit of signage, go further south on rt.1 and find Vet’s Liquors. Great slice of americana with authentic drunken soldier with colored lightbulbs in his eyes… used to be red bulbs when I was a kid. Great stuff. He’s just back from the wars, and he’s a complete waste. Best sign ever.
Yeaaaaah – cool. I’ve found nothing so weird, so much peculiar, so much fun as much of Laurel. It totally blows me away. I love it. and IntangibleArts blew my mind by mentioning vet’s liquors, so super duper awesome.
