The house is equally amazing on the inside as is the wonderful couple that lives there.

I’ve never been in this house, but I love that it’s owned by an African American couple who have probably lived there for quite some time. Pleasant reminder that the neighborhood was predominately African American at one time, and a good example that not all residents need to move out for an area to be “gentrified.”

The couple that owns this house were close friends of my parents and I’ve known them since I was born so they’ve been in the house at least 55+ years. Every street around there was mostly African American and I have pictures of them and my mother sitting on the benches with all of us in strollers in what is now the new dog park across the street.
