Yeah, that right there would have me walking out the door. Nothing says "You'll...
Columbia Heights and Georgia Ave opened on the same day.
I love it love it love it. I live nearby (Eckington), and bike by it almost every day....
Beautiful building, BOLD, which is a rarity in DC. Not sure how people think there is too...
Orange kitties are little psychos.
I have torties (and a tabby). Not quite as psycho.
You so funny. It’s a yellow daylily just like in your last garden post. And the plact in front w the big round leaves is a hosta.
You know I was wondering if it was the same flower but I thought it was growing out of the hosta since there was only one flower. So I got confused, which happens quite frequently to me… I have to get me some of these!
To notice anything enough for confusion is not a bad thing.
Yes, get some daylilies. They come in pretty much every color of the rainbow, they are totally trouble free, they spread nicely if you compost around them, and you can intersperse them with plantings for other seasons, like daffodils.
There are many kinds of daylilies that will bloom multiple times a year, so especially look out for those (“Stella d’oro” are a ubiquitous orange variety). And I second the suggestion to interplant them with daffodils – they are a natural fit together and a landscape industry staple.
Another great thing about daylillies — They will fill in your flower beds and crowd out the weeds! Pretty and labor saving!
