Ontario: I’m sure you are right. I used to epoxy toy hood ornaments on my Biscayne and they were constantly swiped.

a girl i dated in college had a 72 Dart. she was from Maine. one year I had to drive that car from maryland to maine and back with her – it was absolutely terrifying. you DO NOT under any circumstances want to be on I-95 in a 72 Dodge Dart. hitting the brakes on it was more like a vague suggestion to slow down than a command. horrifying.

Those Dodge Darts, while overall mediocre cars, got pretty good gas mileage for the 1970s, had good visibility, and you couldn’t kill that slant-6 engine if you tried.
