Orange Cat 005, originally uploaded by Prince of Petworth.
Maybe the coolest cat contest got you thinking about getting one of your own? A reader writes:
“This cat showed up and was so friendly and beautiful that we figured someone must have lost him. But, he is still hanging around. I have pictures of him, attached. He is so sweet (he will let you hold him like a baby), but we already have enough cats. Could you please put him on your website so maybe someone will adopt him?”

It has gotten me to think about adopting a rabbit.
Try sending his photo to local vet offices and see if anyone recognizes him as a “patient”–and maybe you’ll find out if he has an owner.
If you go the adoption route, posting some more cat stats would be nice (Weight, neutered, declawed, did you take him to the vet to get checked out before hanging around with your cats?)
Good luck
You can take him to any vet clinic of adoption center and they can scan him to see if he has a microchip.
Not taking a stray animal to the vet/shelter for a microchip scan is doing a huge disservice to the animal. Also, at the very least you need to get his shots done before interacting with your cats. Best of luck!
he is too cute! if my nickname around the neighborhood wasn’t already the “cat lady” I would totally take him in.
