DC police have over 300 mountain bikes and City Bikes [in Adams Morgan where this pic was taken] has the maintenance contract to tune-up the bikes on a regular basis.

Looks like there were a lot of BUI’s last night…

Only two hours earlier these bikes were going about their daily business, peacefully loitering in Pershing Park.

120 minutes and one All Hands on Deck later, they were all hogtied and in transit to a mass holding cell downtown.

I’m not sure when it became clear to me that the other guys around the station didn’t understand “bike to work week”…
