New(ish) Restaurant on Georgia Ave.
Not sure how I missed this one but La Morenita Restaurant has opened up at 3539 Georgia Ave., NW. I was told they’ve been open for about 6 months. Anyone check them out yet? If so how do the pupusas rank?

All the food is great here. I really love this place.
FYI: Not sure if they take credit cards yet though. They’ve never taken them all the times I’ve gone and I think their plans to change that are kind of on the backburner.
Been here a couple of times. The people are lovely and the food was good.
Papusas and mangu – is the food mostly Salvadoran or Dominican or a little of both?

I’ve been to a Morenita Restaurant a couple times and came a way pretty satisfied. The owners are really nice too.

Amazing food. Good to have this and Sweet Mangoes so close together.
La Morenita is two blocks from my house, and I go there pretty regularly. I love Salvadoran food, and while I think Gloria’s is a little better, I enjoy visiting my neighborhood pupusería. The people who run the place are very sweet.
