looks like a weeping willow to me
Weeping willow seconded. There’s a smaller but still cool one on Euclid between Sherman and Georgia Aves that I admire, too.

Def. a weeping willow, better hope that doesn’t get into the water pipes, those trees need tons of water (they only grow near creeks, streams, etc..)
weeping willow, for sure!
They’re beautiful trees, but as Joe mentioned, it’s very unwise to plant them anywhere remotely close to water pipes. The roots are extremely invasive.
There’s one of these on 13th near Park Road, right around the corner from Giant in Columbia Heights. It looks so out of place, which makes it completely awesome.

Geez, PoP, you are acting simpler and simpler… Yes, it’s a weeping willow.
Oh my around the corner neighbor. While they have a lovely weeping willow, if you look closely, you’ll see the uncut grass, the litter piled up next to their fence, and in the winter, ice and snow caked on the sidewalk so my ass almost falls on the way to work in the morning. This guy pisses me off.
