New tavern coming to 501 8th Street, SE on Barracks Row. The alcohol license says it will be a tavern featuring regional and seasonal combinations of local seafood with recorded music. The occupancy is 49 with an additional 32 for the sidewalk cafe.

Small correction: the Matchbox place opening up two doors down will be a “30s-style” diner. They were handing out nice milkshake samplers at the recent Oktoberfest.
At first, I thought it said, Coming to Barracks Row – Chesapeake House.
That’s my building on the right of the top pic. Can’t wait to get something in here. Vacant rat infested storefronts make poor neighbors.
