I took him two VERY difficult dresses to alter - down by 2-3 sizes. He & his staff basically took them entirely apart and re-made them. They came out perfectly. I originally went to him because he specializes in clothing for the physically disabled (I am not, but admired his sensitivity to people with such requirements).
