This great one was in Georgetown. It’s also interesting to note that it has a super cool roof deck:

That’s the Capn’s House. That’s what we called it back when I went to Georgetown. There is usually nautical theme decorations in the window and I once saw the guy outside wearing a captain’s hat…and maybe an eye patch….college is getting kinda hazy now.

You should check out the “Pirate Ship” house on the corner of 37th and Tunlaw in Glover Park. The deck juts out like the prow of a ship and the owners go with it. Last year it was only up for a day. This year they put it up this past week and it’s been great.

Isn’t this actually in Glover Park? I used to live at 37th and Tunlaw, right by the ‘pirate ship’.
The house in the picture also decorates for other seasons with the same amount of spirit – Christmas/Hanukkah, spring season/Easter, forth of July, etc.

That house is not in Georgetown. It’s Glover Park.
