I hadn’t checked in on the new Pho place, Nam Viet, coming to 3515 14th Street, NW so I thought we were do for an update. They were finishing up work for the evening when I walked by Wed. evening. While they were originally looking for an October opening they now believe it is going to be closer to the mid or end of November. But a lot of progress has been made on the inside. It looks like it’s going to be a rather small space but could be a great spot for pickup/delivery. Stay tuned for more in November.

Yeah, that right there would have me walking out the door. Nothing says "You'll...
Columbia Heights and Georgia Ave opened on the same day.
I love it love it love it. I live nearby (Eckington), and bike by it almost every day....
Beautiful building, BOLD, which is a rarity in DC. Not sure how people think there is too...
Orange kitties are little psychos.
I have torties (and a tabby). Not quite as psycho.
Is this affiliated with the Nam-Viet Pho-79 location in Cleveland Park?
Love the bars on the windows. And more carry out service? Really? Plexiglass too?
I hope its not associated with the Cleveland park locale.. their pho is probly the worst ive ever had haha.
yeah, if it is bad as Nam Viet in cleveland park, i will just walk the extra 7 minutes to park road for my pho. if it is good, i’ll be there all the time!
I walked by there yesterday and saw some cases of beer. Either they’re close enough to opening that they’ve turned their fridges on, or they just wanted to kick back a few. I know beer always helps me when I’m using power tools.
When I read the name, I immediately connected it to the Nam Viet spot across from the Uptown Theater.
Either way, I’m just pleased to add CH to my “munchie central” list.
I’d really like to see the folks at Adega Wine Cellars (Silver Spring, MD) have a presence in CH, too.
Why is it Nam Viet instead of Viet Nam?
