During her campaign, in which she ran unopposed, I received no less than 10 marketing calls asking me to vote for her. In the first call, I politely asked to be removed from the calling list. I was told "this is not governed by the 'do not call list'." I politely said yes, I understood this, but I would like to be on THEIR do not call list. 10 calls later and 10 times of politely asking to be removed from the calling list--almost always at dinner time, I finally told them that "I would never vote for her because SHE DOES NOT LISTEN TO CONSTITUENTS WHEN THEY ASK HER NOT TO CALL THEM. Why on earth would she listen about more pressing matters?" Someone needs to run against her in the next election who will listen. I have to say that I am not a huge fan of Ms. Bowser. "Lieutenants are being empowered to respond directly to neighborhood concerns"..ok then, why do we have 13 year olds being jumped when they leave school by gangs of teenage boys equipped with violent attitudes and threats of gunplay? Why are children in our community carrying guns and ammo on a regular basis? Why is there such lame prosecution when they actually catch the kids and adults who do us all harm. Is this just more lip service or will we ever ever ever see some changes that get pistols out of the hands of 14 yr olds?
