Some More Sweet Art from the Convention Center

Back in September a reader mentioned some new art going up at the Convention Center. In addition to M St. there is also art on L as well where I found this one. It put a big smile on my face.

Pretty ironic that 15 year ago, this exact style of art was all over that neighborhood and prosecuted as a blight crime… now the city is paying people to put it in the building that raised city blocks for it to be built.

Nice, but I’d prefer they lowered the rent for these spaces and got some tenants in there. The retail spaces in the Convention Center have been a huge disappointment from day one.
