I hope they thrive whether they remain in place or have to find new space. I'll follow them wherever they go. If you ever purchase a piece of furniture that has to exit through the back of the building, you'll pass through an active artist's studio. I was told that it's the studio of Sam Gilliam, who happens to own the building. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sam_gilliam) I've seen his work in a few different museums around town and my office also has a large Gilliam work hanging in one of its lobbies. Pretty cool -- made me like Good Wood and U Street and Sam Gilliam and living in the District that much more. Good Wood is one of my favorite stores in the District.
