Can you see the little mirror thing above the door? I think it is to ward away the evil spirit, right? Anyone know from what country it comes from? It’s from a house being renovated in Mt. Vernon Square.

A lot of cultures probably use it, but I know East Asia (China) definitely used/uses mirrors to deflect/blind bad spirits.

Definitely a Molvanian Spirit Mirror. I visited Molvania last summer and nearly every household has one of these over their front door. It’s not too different from the traditional horseshoe over the door.
