There was some discussion last week about the construction going on at 13th and U Streets, NW. I have confirmed one rumor with Kim Weeks the founder of Boundless Yoga. She writes:
“We plan to move in during the summer, and we’re expanding from our spot on the 1500 block of U Street to 2500 SF there at 13th/U, with two bright, sunny studios plus a space for Yoga Therapy and private yoga. We’ll be offering public yoga, private yoga, yoga training, Yoga Therapy, and energy healing!”
Now we just have to wait to see who takes over the first floor.

What a sweet transformation. Hopefully they'll have great selection and prices.

Annie's is gonna be a great addition to Petworth.
I will never go back to Home Depot....
That’s super. I really was not feeling the basement atmosphere at the current location. Now we will see how Boundless and the much lower price point Yoga District interact.
Oh, you could do a companion post about Yoga District as I am told they are expanding. It’s great to see that 14th and T location come back to life!
I’m sorry, but the moratorium on new frozen yogurt shops, wine bars, and hamburger-themed restaurants has been expanded to include Yoga studios.
Based on a well-established pattern previously noted here at PoP, I’m sure the first floor will be occupied by a bar.
I walk past that building twice a day. You know what I’d LOVE to see in that first floor spot? A little public library branch. Stop in to check email, grab a bestseller for your metro ride, kill a half hour flipping through magazines, pop in to pick up a DVD on your way home…
what’s a DVD? I would like to see something other than a bar…
12th place – how about a bookstore? That would be wonderful. And you know DC public library is never going to open a new branch…
I own the joint. We have no intention of putting a bar there – once the building is finished it will be beautiful.
