I think this “Mike Hicks” person is totally stealing Bogotron’s style. What a wannabe!
Bogotron: Nobody calls me Mike Hicks. You got the wrong guy. I’m the Dude, man!
those are lovely balloons
If you’re not into the whole brevity thing!
Thanks for posting, thanks for looking.
nice…i suppose you develop your own prints, eh, mr. bogotron?
Thank you m.e. For now no, I lack the necessary equipment but it’s something I might look into. I get my film developed at Penn Camera. As far as printing, I might look to Chrome in Georgetown or various associates who print their own.
Did anyone else start singing the Robyn Hitchcock song “Balloon Man” when they read this?
i did! i did! LOVE that song, so peppy.
If you are using Diafine to develop your own stuff, it takes $50 worth of material. Don’t even have to worry about the temp of the water. Much, much cheaper than hauling all the way to Penn.
Don’t even worry about it. Everything will turn out just fine, Blog Tron.
Excellent choices Dunn. Boogeytron – good eye.
Great selection Dunn. Boogeytron-good eyes.
Thanks for the tip, Tony. I might have a friend teach me the basics this weekend. I think I will need to cut costs somehow, but if I start developing I’ll need to start scanning myself, too. Of course if it’s a one-time cost it will be cheaper in the end to buy a scanner.
True dat, Blogoton.
mr. bogotron….i have a photographer friend who is 89 years old, and until a couple of years ago, she developed and printed her own stuff in her laundry room. i looked into it, and the equipment is not all that expensive (or wasn’t ten years ago, which is when i looked.) i think it would be great fun to be able to do that. my friend has learned (and taught and written about) many special techniques for developing and printing. i dream of having a place to do this….in fact, doesn’t the torpedo factory have a darkroom facility that you can rent by the hour???
