When the Passenger opened up at 1021 7th St. NW, near the Convention Center, it instantly improved that stretch of 7th Street. I was excited to see coming soon signs for the nearby Bar 7 to be located at 1015 7th Street, NW. I seem to recall an alcohol application license a while ago but it seems they are a lot closer to opening now. If they are half as good as the Passenger it’ll be great news.

Yeah, that right there would have me walking out the door. Nothing says "You'll...
Columbia Heights and Georgia Ave opened on the same day.
I love it love it love it. I live nearby (Eckington), and bike by it almost every day....
Beautiful building, BOLD, which is a rarity in DC. Not sure how people think there is too...
Orange kitties are little psychos.
I have torties (and a tabby). Not quite as psycho.
Rant: Every new restaurant or bar opening in DC that uses the street where it is located as a part of the name of said new restaurant or bar. OVERKILL people!!!
Yes, the old liquor lincese application named the placed Wired though: http://www.frenchtwistdc.com/2009/07/coming-soon-wired.html
Noticed the new sign when I was at the Passengers on Saturday. A new bar in my neighbourhood is a new bar, I’m excited!
how many bars use there street as part of the name?
i can’t think of more than 10 or so.
is that really a big deal?
Is it a big deal? No. But I’d like to see a little more originality from some of these people opening restaurants/bars around here.
yeah, i can agree with that.
If this area get more filled in with bars and restaurants its only a plus…they can have several establishments with the number 7 in their names…if they’re well-run destinations that’s all that matters…this is good news.
Kimchi hotdog = way overrated. It was also kind of expensive. I’m not that impressed by The Passenger.
Good Good….another Bar…can’t have to many of them.
I wish I drank, then I would be super hyped over this.
Hopefully it doesn’t suck, like nearly every other bar in that general area.
what do you consider that general area?
To all the folks that complain about the name being the street, open your own bar. It makes marketing sense for them to use the street name in the bar name, especially for an up and coming area such as Seventh Street.
