Good Deal or Not? Open House in the Storm Edition

Dear PoP – recommendation for gutter/roof repairman

IMG_2483

“Dear PoP,

Due to the recent heavy snow and ice, my gutter took a beating and will need to be replaced along with the part of the roof (overhang) to which the gutter is attached. I also need to have my porch roof replaced and elevated, so I was hoping I could find one contractor that is able to perform all of these repairs at a reasonable price.”

I’m gonna bookmark this one for when spring comes and we get ready to repair the snow damage. I have a feeling gutter companies are in for a banner year!

Maggio Roofing is awesome (301) 891-1458. Their quote may be the cheapest, but they are there when they say they will be there, they explain everything they are going to do, let you know if you there is the potential for unexpected surprises and get it done right the first time. They are by far the best contractor I have dealt with in renovating my house over the past six years. I am a satisfied customer that likes to recognize a job well done and do not gain anything from this endorsement.

Roof Solutions, Inc. – formerly known as R&D Industries. We had a complete tear off and re do to our 1915 row house and they did a GREAT job. Quick, cleaned up well, and very friendly.

Rod Kahn with Cavaricci Contracting is awesome (and I think pretty reasonable). My Yelp review: http://www.yelp.com/biz/cavaricci-contracting-co-damascus
