Friday Question of the Day

My question is a simple one – do you think we’ll get more snow than the Dec. blizzard? I’m putting the over/under at 20″. Is anyone going in to work?
I already received word from Duffy’s located near 9:30 Club (a PoP advertiser) that they’ll be open on Sat. no matter how much snow comes down. So if you guys know or hear of any other places that will be open on Sat. please leave in the comments.
Also don’t forget to shovel your sidewalks and if you have elderly neighbors help them out with their shoveling please.
And finally don’t forget to upload your snow photos to the PoPville flickr pool here.

Argonaut opens at noon and 6 other H Street bars are running a special, for every 6″ of snow, they’re knocking a buck off your drink. They’ll go as low as $2/drink. More details: http://www.thehillishome.com/2010/02/snomg-2-electric-bugaloo-drink-specials-on-h-street/

It’s gonna be a blizzard, ya’ll! I’m gonna be ballsy and say 28″.
Shit, didn’t do my grocery shopping last night because I went to the bars instead. When the government lets everyone out 4 hours early today the metro is gonna be hell, and so is Giant.

I’ll definitely be celebrating the craziness with festive libations but please think about the folks around you too. Older folks and families with small kids will need your help the next day or two. If you can help open up a path for them to get outside, you will have scored some major karma points. Maybe even knock on their door. For someone cooped up, a quick chat is food for the soul.
I have a family member a couple miles from me who I won’t be able to get to till maybe sunday. She’s got great neighbors and I can’t tell you how grateful I am for them right now. Be that neighbor!

I like my snow like I like my men. This better be over 12″ or I’ll be disappointed. Though I must say, 20″ starts to get painful.

This was the best blizzard comment ever, even though I like my men like I like my coffee “In the morning and To Go!” hehehee

Domku will be open normal hours except closing at 5pm on Sunday not because of snow though for the Super Bowl!

And that’s just weird about the Super Bowl. Guess they don’t think us football haters will want dinner!
OK, guess there aren’t enough of us to make it worth their while.

“Hello from Cowgirl Creamery DC!
I just wanted to pass along some info if anyone is curious of stores in DC closing early and such.
We stocked up on cheese, beer and wine early in the week expecting our usual Super Bowl rush. We are closing today at 3pm and will remain closed on Saturday.”
