Valentines day (like New Years) is a terrible time to go to a fancy or expensive restaurant. The menus tend to be dumbed down (but priced up), and food quality and service are typically sub-par, while they try to cram as many people in (and rush as many tables through) as they can. Save your fancy dining for Thursday nights. You’re best off cooking at home or going to a low-key smaller or ethnic place.
