As a fan of Bloomingdale I was pretty intrigued by this one particularly because of the roofdeck. Does $1600 sound reasonable?

The roof deck is nice, and the renovation looks good. All the spaces look really tiny though. Is that a queen size bed taking up almost the entire bedroom or a king?
Utilities are included, but $1600 for those little spaces almost a mile from the nearest metro? I’m not so sure.
Yeah, I think it’s too much. Looking at craigslist it looks like the other 1BRs in the neighborhood range from $1100 for a basement to $1550 in a brand-new building with 1 month free.
This is probably the closest comparable and it’s $1400

But this one doesn’t include utilities, I’d say rent + utilities could get close to $1600. And most of the lower-price range 1 bedrooms I saw in Bloomingdale/LeDroit were english basements. I don’t know the area that well, but maybe $1600 isn’t as unreasonable as it initially sounds for a non-basement apartment that includes all utilities and parking?
Hmm.. gas, water, & electric shouldn’t be much more than $100 for a small apartment, right? I don’t know how big an issue parking is in that area.
$100 for gas water and electric? in an old house? lol.
It averages about $150/month in my old rowhouse (for the whole house), so I’d hope it’d be less for a 1br!
ditto quincycyclist. you can find similar accomodations at as good or better prices closer to the metro.
Perfect for someone working at the Children’s Hospital
my brother lives next door but owns his house. this house used to be a mess and they remodeled it and sold it as condos several years ago
I’m not getting the exposed brick wall in the closet.
Also, really would like stoves to have counter top space on both sides. Pot handles get in the way otherwise.
was this posted for comedic value?
roof deck > bedroom = goofy renovation
