Judging Restaurants – Rita’s Carryout (Reader Request)
I believe PoPtrekker videoographer, Intangible Arts, is a huge fan. Rita’s is located at 3322 Georgia Avenue, NW. They got some solid reviews on Yelp. One user recommends the Curry goat or chicken roti. Any other fans out there? Any recommendations on particular dishes?

Fantastic place!!!!! Food is very good and affordable. I love the curried goat. Lots of vegetable too. You can eat in or carry out. Rita’s has been at the spot for over 30 years.

I love this place. I have ordered a number of the roti varieties and haven’t been disappointed yet. The plantains are yummy, too.
do they have bullet proof glass?
I’d like to know the answer to this, as well. I won’t eat at a place on Georgia Avenue that doesn’t have it, because I’m too scared of getting shot. Poop!
Um, really? Bulletproof glass might keep the staff from getting shot, but you’d be SOL – I don’t think it really makes a difference. They don’t have a full glass barrier, just a splatter guard over the food. The employees are super nice, and the food is cheap and tasty – I would definitely recommend it.
Maybe you should return to the vanilla suburbs!! I find your comment most unfortunate. I frequent Rita’s at least once a week and always enjoy my visit. The staff is very friendly and the people in the neighborhood are respectful. I have never felt threatened or unsafe.
It’s time to let those ignorant stereotypes go and enjoy a diverse inner city community.

Anyway, Rita’s Carry-out is very near my house and absolutely delicious! The curry goat is my favorite but the staff is perfectly happy to tell you what to get if you seem too confused
