I’ve noted some roman numeral house numbers in the past but I think this is the best looking one I’ve seen. Though I still don’t know what number it is…
I always remember Roman numerals this way: M=1,000 as in mil in Spanish, mille in French for one thousand. C=100 as in cent, cien, ciento for hundred. And the other numerals you just have to remember. Think I’ll teach it to the kids today.

Way to confuse the postman.
By the way, I think the old 1223 in Dupont has done its share of educating DCists with Roman numerals.
