This is truly a bizarre contraption. It appears to be some sort of mirror contraption outside of a second floor window. Any ideas here?

    Yes,

I’ve seen those before. The mirror is positioned to blast sunlight into the face of a person lying in bed to get them up in the morning.

To dry coke? Make weed grow faster/stronger?

I always assumed it was for people on the second floor to be able to see who is at the door.

Invented by Benjamin Franklin, this device has 3 mirrors to allow one to look out a second floor window and see the street below. (They’re all over Center City Philadelphia!!)

Oops – forgot – it has a name — “Busy Body”. No kidding.

Seems like a gawkers paradise. You can look down at the people while lying on your bed.

Agreed that they are all over Philly. Love the name, though!!

Google Ben Franklin Busybody. They cost $74.94 plus s&h of $13.94. Too much for me.
