Mt. Pleasant News: Discovery Channel Filming and Temp. Library Closes

Filming at 18th and Lamont Streets, NW

Thanks to a Mt. P reader for sending the heads up:

“It is for a four part documentary on energy. The first should air around July 3rd. They aren’t sure of the title yet but something about energy or power or future. Probably a combination of the three words. It’s hosted by the guy in red behind the white car named Sanjin. They will have a part about the MtP solar co-op.

And just last week I noted how good the Mt. Pleasant temporary library was looking at 3162 Mt. Pleasant Street, NW. Sadly there was an SUV crash in the alley Tues. afternoon and the library has been closed until the structural damage has been assessed. DC Public Library Spokesman George Williams will let me know when the library is able to re-open.
