Vinoteca Wine Bar at 11th and U St, NW Gets Bocce Court

I checked out the new back patio at Vinoteca located at 1940 11th St, NW (next to Sollys) and it is sweet! I’d say this is one of the best looking new patios in town. It’s got a nice big bar, another small seating area and of course bocce. Nicely done!

More photos after the jump.

The only thing that space needs is a pergola and some vines hanging over the top.

Wow, that is VERY cool. Even without the Bocce court it would be excellent.

Nothing like sippin’ wine and throwing some balls around.
Sounds stupid, but I’ll always remember a Bertucci’s in Somerville, MA that had a bocce ball court on the lower floor. A Bertucci’s!!

I remember that too (being from outside Boston)! That was their big draw before they became a chain.

The space is fantastic…like being transported to Positano or something. We at DC Bocce are working with Vinoteca to form a league for the Fall. They are very excited to have the space completed and to get added exposure (which PoP is obviously great at). Anyone interested in the league there for Fall should email us via our website: http://www.dcbocce.com
